PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Manage Day-to-Day Activities Within the Store.
Assist Management with overall operations of the store including store opening and closing procedures are being followed.
Ensure compliance with all store policies, including, but not limited to reporting theft or misuse of company property, or other illegal activities.
Ensure store policies and procedures are followed by all associates and volunteers.
Work a flexible schedule in support of the store opening, production, and closing operations including Saturday and Holidays
Resolve customer complaints in a fair and impartial matter, referring all unsettled disputes to the store manager.
Supervise and train retail employees in all areas of the store.
Assist in performing daily administrative/clerical functions of store operations and cash transactions.
Monitor sales transactions associated with purchases and ensure proper sales procedures are followed by sale associates.
Maintain store appearance and expectation according to housekeeping check list.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Complies with all store safety and security procedures.
Assists in line-level function as needed (e.G., sales, receiving, processing, merchandising).
Adhere to work schedule.
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist to oversee the production process for all donation functions, inventory control, and adherence to the procedures for receiving/processing.
Maintain a neat and orderly store that is properly equipped and supplied to meet all budgetary requirements.
Attends meetings as scheduled.
Works with management in overseeing CSR program and volunteers. Verify paperwork, orientation and job assignment. Assess knowledge and skills of volunteers, assign them to jobs and train them as necessary.
Create an atmosphere of ongoing exceptional customer service for both internal and external customers.
Communicates to manager on daily issues.
Assist customers/donors and handle all complaints.
Works with staff to maintain a smooth-running operation and resolve conflicts.
Assists in completing Daily Safety walks in store to ensure customer, employee, and volunteer s safety.
Inform employees of store and production goals and assigns duties to ensure goals are met.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Open dialog with all staff.
B. Maintain Records
Monitors Housekeeping log.
Track CSR & volunteer hours.
Verifies data tracking of donation records.
Closeout drawers and make deposits.
C. General Responsibilities
Assist the Management team with daily operations and staffing responsibilities.
Train new staff and current staff members on new policies and programs.
Conduct Team Huddles.
Update whiteboard and have discussion around revenue/budget.
Other duties as assigned.
This individual must understand and appreciate the mission of the store. Qualified candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Must possess strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, and the ability to multi-task. This individual must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Must be able to work with diverse individuals and remain consistent in keeping a professional demeanor. Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
Required to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and will experience frequent bending, squatting, lifting and repetitive motion. This position will occasionally be exposed to extremes in weather (e.G., heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.).
A minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience in a retail environment. Must have demonstrated independent responsibility for program management and accomplishing results. Experience supervising staff required.
High School diploma.
