Job Description

This position offers the unique opportunity to work hands-on with tools completing projects while also overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations.
Responsibilities:

Hands-On Maintenance:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical
Weld on equipment and storage bins.
Replace bearings, rolls, gears.
Align gears and set backlash.
Run a threading machine and install air/water piping.
Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
Day-to-Day Operations:
Schedule and oversee maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance efforts.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
Receive raw materials
Grease and lubricate equipment and machinery.
Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Wear all required PPE.
Identify and correct safety hazards.
Utilize safe work practices.
Reporting:
Generate reports on maintenance activities, including progress, issues, and resolutions.
Communicate effectively with management regarding maintenance status and requirements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role.
Strong technical skills and hands-on experience with maintenance tools and equipment.
leadership and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Experience in an industrial setting.
Must be able to observe, diagnose and repair conveyors, screens, and other equipment being utilized in the mill.
Electrical experience is a plus.
Remove and install bearings
Welding experience. Stick/mig.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
