Position Responsibilities:
Operates a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of
travel on a continual basis.
Operates a lift truck all shift.
Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary
equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to
supervisor/
maintenance.
Moves controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks and transports materials between
loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and
swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure
material or products for transport to designated areas.
Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
