We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Donation Pickup Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for picking up donated household items from various commercial and residential locations around the Austin area. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely load and unload items.
Key Responsibilities:
Pickup Donations: Safely drive a company vehicle to designated pickup locations, including homes and businesses, to collect donated household items. Loading and Unloading: Efficiently load and unload items, ensuring proper handling to avoid damage. Customer Interaction: Communicate courteously with donors, providing a positive experience and answering any questions about the donation process. Inventory Management: Maintain an organized system for tracking donations and ensuring that all items are accounted for. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular checks on the vehicle for maintenance needs, reporting any issues promptly. Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others during pickups and while on the road.
Job Requirements
Valid driver s license and clean driving record. Must have box truck driving experience At least one year previous experience as a driver or in a similar role preferred. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 55lbs) and perform physical labor. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures. Ability to operate forklifts is a plus.
