Position: CMT Engineering Technician (CMT = Construction Materials Testing)
Schedule: Overtime after 40 hours, on weekends, or outside 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM would be your regular MONDAY- FRIDAY time.
Pay and compensation: $18/hr plus a $1.00 after the contract to hire is completed +$1.00 for each certification obtained. (we will pay for certifications and help you prepare for the exam once contract term is complete)
Job Description and Duties: Travel to construction sites to obtain soil and or concrete samples and deliver them to lab for testing. Testing soil and concrete on the job site for compliance with project specifications. Occasionally some concrete pours may be very early in the morning with start times from midnight to 4:00 AM.
Job Requirements
Over the age of 21
Valid Driver s License with no DUI s on record
Ability to lift 50 Lbs (must be able to transport equipment and samples)
Access to a vehicle that can transport equipment to job sites (pickup truck highly recommended. Sedans and Coups not acceptable)
Decent reading writing and communication skills (reading plans and writing reports is an essential part of the job)
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
